From the Boathouse, looking across at the former fishing shacks of
Sandy Beach which were originally built in the 1800's.  Jack London
used to play poker at the age of 16 in the shack on the pier directly
across the water .  Unfortunately, the shack was torn down in the early
1980's and replaced by a mini-mansion as a vacation home for a
socialite San Francisco couple.  It should have been declared a
Historical Landmark.  Oh well, money talks and bull pucky walks !

She walks in the moonlight yet
    hidden she hears
    Sounds that surround the path
    that she will choose
    Reflections shine in the water
    from far up above
    Silvery and shimmering rippling
    ashore
She can’t pull herself away still
    wanting to see more

Smells of the brush that  slightly
    tickling her skin
    Awaken the half dreamlike world
    she finds herself in
    Night blooming jasmine so
    pungent follow and linger
Aromas that pass on ahead and
cling in the moment she’s in
    Mixing with honeysuckle and
    roses with a lavender twist

Night’s chill air a relief from the
    day’s hot sojourn
Brings a shiver of pleasure along
    with goose bumped appendages
Making the light shawl pull a
little tighter around the frail body
Alas it ends alone on the shore to
recover her senses to head her
    home
    Blossoms catch moonlight
    savored in glass jars near
    windows she sleeps
